Dr. B. Aanantha Lakshmi, a trailblazer in the field of reproductive medicine, serves as a Consultant & Senior Clinical Embryologist at Janani Trichy Fertility Centre in Trichy, Tamil Nadu, India. She holds certifications from both ESHRE (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology) as a clinical embryologist and the American College of Embryology as a Reproductive Embryologist. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Reproductive Physiology, building upon her extensive medical background with an MBBS and MD in Physiology. She has garnered prestigious accolades, including being named the Budding Embryologist of the Year at the National Fertility Awards by ET Health Care in 2024. As the first woman from India to achieve certification as a Reproductive Embryologist from the American College of Embryology with the highest score ever recorded, Dr. Aanantha Lakshmi continues to break barriers. She was also honored as the first Indian Embryologist of the Month by EMBCOL (American College of Embryology).

With a profound commitment to education, Dr. Lakshmi serves as a faculty member for the Indian Council of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Certificate course in Reproductive Medicine and visiting faculty for PG Diploma students and M.Sc Clinical Embryology. Recognized for her exceptional organizational prowess, she has adeptly organized numerous State-level workshops, highlighting her commitment to education and professional development. Dr.Lakshmi is a distinguished researcher and presenter, having delivered numerous papers at national and international conferences. Her passion for advancing the field of embryology is further underscored by her active involvement in CPD activities with ESHRE and her life membership in EMBCOL, IFS, ISAR, and ACE.
